Orphaned at a young age, he was raised by his grandfather, Abdul Muttalib, and later by his uncle, Abu Talib.

The Honest and Trustworthy Merchant
As he grew older, Muhammad (ﷺ) became a merchant and gained a reputation for being truthful and trustworthy.
He was given the title "Al-Ameen" (the trustworthy) and "As-Sadiq" (the truthful) by the people of Mecca. His dealings in trade were marked by fairness and honesty, making him widely respected in society.
His exemplary character caught the attention of Khadijah, a wealthy and noble businesswoman, who later proposed marriage to him. Their marriage was based on love, mutual respect, and support.
The First Revelation and Prophet-hood
At the age of 40, while meditating in the Cave of Hira, Muhammad (ﷺ) received his first revelation from Angel Jibreel (Gabriel). The angel commanded him to "Read!" (Iqra) in the name of Allah.
This event marked the beginning of his prophethood. Initially frightened and confused, he found support in his wife, Khadijah, who reassured him and became the first to embrace Islam. Over time, revelations continued, forming what would later become the Holy Quran.
The Struggles in Mecca
As Prophet Muhammad (ﷺ) began spreading the message of Islam—calling people to worship one God, abandon idol worship, and uphold justice he faced strong opposition from the Quraysh leaders.
They persecuted early Muslims, tortured them, and placed a social and economic boycott on them. Despite these hardships, the Prophet remained steadfast, never giving up on his mission.
His patience and determination won the hearts of many, and Islam continued to grow.
The Migration to Medina (Hijrah)
